Welcome to the Translation Team.
We're here to help assist when there's a miscommunication or if you simply need help translation something. If you would like our help, please write a message to those you'd like help from for the fastest way to get help.
If you'd like to volunteer please do so here in this post, writing what language you'd like to help with. (Please write what it's called in English but also in the language native name) Have a nice day!

Sounds like an excellent plan to me. There have been plenty of occasions here where language has been a hurdle and it would be great if we had a solution to that which was better than Google Translate. If anyone knows a language other than English and wouldn't mind getting a tag to help out translating in another thread please post the language you feel comfortable translating.

This is a wonderful idea! I can't wait for the forums to be more open to non-english speakers.

Me too plovernod Yeah, that was exactelly my thought orangemittens - I've seen a few people posting and wanting help but then they have (probably) given up and havent come back to the forum because no one really understands them. It makes me so happy that you liked the idea! Now, I just need people to see this thread so they can volunteer.... I should get a bell or something.... "Herye Herye!" For those of you who are interested in volunteering, please write in this thread along with what language you can speak and I'll add you to the top post.

Studio forums has always welcomed people no matter what their first language is and we muddle through the language barrier well enough. But having people able to step in when that road gets rocky would be great. Also, if anyone speaks a language other than English and is interested in translating tutorials please feel welcome to translate any that I've written and also feel free to use the pictures that go with them.

German/American English - There are a lot of Germans who speak the correct Oxford English, (Which drives me nutts.); and a lot of Germans automatically ASSUME that i am from England because of my Last name. I have never been to England, I do not worship any Queen...ha!
The German translations of Movies, (Particularly' the American SLANG), Funny stuff...almost Priceless... ;°)
As a last resort, happy to help, if need be....

Thanks @stevenssimsstuff I have added you to the list. (And yeah, I know what you mean, In school our teachers were hellbent on everying only learning correct Oxford English, and failing us if we wrote Cinema instead of Movie Theater for example. I think they should have been happy for people learning any of those)

Hey all if anyone knows Russian and could help out with translation please let me know You might try KuriXarya at MTS, he (?) does the Russian translations for MC. Whole different animal here, I know, but it wouldn't hurt to ask, if you're up for it. If they've got an account here, too, even better. I haven't looked.

Hi Shrink! I recently spoke with someone else on the forum about a topic like this, but it slipped my mind Excellent idea! Though I do speak English, I can't say I'm a master at it! But everyone seems to understand me :P I do speak Dutch very well!

Off topic, av question... who IS that in your av, @stevenssimsstuff ? Made me think of Ren and Stimpy... am I close? I'll be around, fascinating topic on its own, *and* I had the idea that this would be a good "hey there" spot for me to gauge who might be interested in doing MC translations, too. Using PMs for my thing, I won't clutter this thread with that. But of course, for an av question... I will derail it for a minute. LOL!

I took a decent amount of French while in college so I could probably do some basic translating if someone needs it. I'm by no means an expert so if someone else comes along that feels comfortable it'd probably be in everyone's best interest to ask that person first!
